Yesterday she translated the speech of Mark Rutte Yesterday she translated the speech of Mark Rutte and Volodymyr Zelensky. Her words, correct translation and right mindset will reach millions and millions creating the right motivation to win this damn long war. She was super excited and empathised that she will remember this day forever. And you know what? She is not even a professional interpreter. She is a head of a team, divorced mom of three kids, has many hobbies, does sports and in general very passionate about life. Her secret of reaching this highlight is as simple as pie - the CHOICE. It’s an everyday choice: chill on the couch or translate a small piece of text for UA media? Watch Netflix on the couch or translate a text about the war? Scroll social media on the couch or translate a difficult audio and challenge herself? You know, in her life THE COUCH NEVER WINS. More than a year she did it without a specific goal, it just felt right. And she feels her inner voice well and follows it. She couldn’t know a year ago that her weekly evening translations will lead to the translations of the speech of two most prominent presidents of nowadays. But by doing every day the small steps and developing as a volunteer interpreter she won trust of the right people and she was the one who at the end received this assignment. A year ago when she was deciding whether she wanted to add this extra work to her busy schedule, she heard a voice inside: I don’t know where my hobby translations will lead me to, but I’m sure about one thing - laying on the couch will lead me NOWHERE. The choice was very easy :) And that is her short but bright story. I’m not a couch hater, I’ve got a few at home. It’s ok to spend time on the couch and have fun. It’s ok to relax after working day or taking care of kids. You’ve got 24 hours a day. How come one already You’ve got 24 hours a day. How come one already lives the life he wants, and another has no time to pursue the positive changes? I teach my clients to manage their energy so they can use the given 24 hours each day properly. Here is what you can’t change: - Your brain will always resist new. If your dream is to change profession, there is NOT such a thing as “good timing” for this step. - Your brain always choses for cheap and quick reward. Checking the social media account is more satisfactory for your brain than writing a good CV. - Our mental resource is very limited. There is a number of rules how to maintain your mental energy and not following them results to a low capacity of your own potential. Here is what you can change easily: - Redesign your personal motivation system the way that it gets excited when you execute life changing actions. So you will actually want to write that important resume! - Tune up your focus and get rif of all the time- and energy killers. Focus on what really matters for you to pursue it! - Learn to enjoy and enjoy! Happy hormones is an essential element in managing your energy. When is it clever to go to coach? It’s very simp When is it clever to go to coach? It’s very simple! When there is anything you are missing out in your life. And once that missing part is there, it will make you feel happier, more content, valuable, confident, efficient, balanced, feel that you live your own life. When you are feeling stuck. It can be anything you would like to move on, but can’t for any reason. Career, relationships, sport, work life balance, children, hobbies and free time, understanding yourself, self love and self compassion. No matter what area you are feeling stuck with, as long as it creates a feel of dissatisfaction. Why go to coach then, if I can solve it myself as I used to? Fair question! I would then ask myself: How big is the problem and it’s impact on my happiness? How long am I struggling with it? And be totally honest to yourself. Because here is the key. If you are really not being yourself, missing out opportunities, not feeling engaged and loved in the relationships, delay for months or even years activities that make you feel happy and alive, know - this is already the life you live and it SHALL continue this way. Until you change it. Good coach will help you to understand the real gap in between your true self and the one that you are used to see and show to others every day. Good coach will give you a philosopher’s stone - self-awareness - that will always stay with you giving you a freedom to make your own choices depending on the situation.
